A widespread outage has hit Yandex, impacting more than 80 essential services and system components, according to social media reports. The disruption follows a drone attack, leading to failures in internet connectivity and the shutdown of various Yandex services, including Yandex Home, Yandex Music, and Telemost.
The incident has also affected Yandex’s comprehensive cloud infrastructure, which includes critical components such as Compute Cloud, Virtual Private Cloud, and Managed Service for Kubernetes. Furthermore, database and storage services like Object Storage, Managed Service for PostgreSQL, and MySQL have experienced interruptions. AI and analytics services, including YandexGPT API and SpeechKit, have also been affected.
In addition, Yandex’s development and security tools, such as Managed Service for GitLab and Smart Web Security, are currently offline. Corporate tools like Tracker, Wiki, and Cloud Desktop are also included in the outage, illustrating the extensive impact on Yandex’s operational capabilities.
