Cher Ndour Scores Spectacular 80-Meter Goal for Italy U21 Against Poland U21

Cher Ndour, a 22-year-old player for Fiorentina and teammate of Radu Drăgușin, delivered a remarkable goal from approximately 80 meters in Italy U21’s impressive 6-2 win against Poland U21. Ndour also contributed with another goal during the match.
The extraordinary moment occurred in the 54th minute when Italy U21 was already leading 2-0. Luca Koleosho opened the scoring in the 16th minute, followed by Ndour’s first goal at the 26-minute mark.
Facing pressure in Group E of the EURO U21 qualifiers, Poland needed to score to keep pace with the Italian side. During a corner kick, after Bartesaghi’s header clearance, Kowalczyk attempted to reignite the attack from the edge of the box but was dispossessed by Ndour.
Acting quickly, Ndour noticed that Polish goalkeeper Lubik was positioned near the center of the field. Without hesitation, Ndour unleashed a powerful shot that sailed over the goalkeeper, bounced inside the six-yard box, and rolled into the net.
Cher Ndour’s incredible strike has garnered widespread attention on social media.
Initially trained in Brescia’s academy, Ndour also played for Atalanta’s youth team before moving to Benfica in Portugal. In 2023, he transferred to Paris Saint-Germain and was subsequently loaned to Braga and Beşiktaş before joining Fiorentina in February 2025 for €5 million.
This season, Ndour has been a key player for Fiorentina, starting three of their five Serie A matches so far. He also provided the assist for Alejandro Jimenez’s goal in the recent 1-1 draw against Napoli.
Last season, Ndour made 33 appearances in Serie A, scoring three goals.
