A strategic bomber crashed in the Amur region of Russia, resulting in the deaths of six crew members. A seventh individual was hospitalized with injuries.
Fire services are currently working to extinguish the flames at the crash site. The aircraft, identified as a Tu-95 bomber, was reportedly undergoing a training flight when the incident occurred, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Initial reports indicated the aircraft was a Tu-154; however, this was later corrected. The crash happened in a remote area, and the plane was flying without ammunition.
The cause of the crash is believed to be an explosion related to the aircraft’s fuel system, as noted by various monitoring channels.
According to the monitoring public Exilenova+, the bomber was operated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
