The special police battalion of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region has successfully intercepted over 650 aerial targets over the past year. Since 2025, these officers have joined efforts to secure the skies above the city by downing various threats, including Shahed drones, Molniya, Supercam, Lancet, “Prince Veshchiy Oleg,” FPV, and other Russian drones that have terrorized Zaporizhzhia and its surroundings.
To neutralize these drones, police utilize firearms, specialized anti-drone rifles, and frontline interceptor drones known as “General Chereshnya.” This coordinated effort reflects the ongoing commitment to safeguard the area from aerial assaults.
