Zelensky suggests China might test its technology during the Ukraine war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated that Russia is likely obtaining technologies from China that could be used in its ongoing conflict with Ukraine. He pointed out that these technologies may include communication tools reminiscent of Starlink.
“There have been instances where they attempted to employ this new technology— not extensively yet, but they are on that path, learning and undergoing practical training. They are utilizing it. For instance, this year, a drone flew directly to a residential window, hovered there, and then launched an attack when people approached. These are new developments. Between us, the United States possesses such technologies. We believe that China is already transferring them to Russia, and we anticipate that these technologies will be handed over by December or January; this is a fact,” Zelensky stated.

- In August, it was reported that Russia accelerated the deployment of its satellite system “Rassvet,” a counterpart to Starlink. According to Ukraine’s military intelligence, by 2027, there could be 292 satellites in orbit. Ukrainian experts warned that this system might enable Russian forces to control drones online at significantly greater distances from the front lines.
