Koretskyi emphasizes the need to optimize state processes through digitalization
Ukrainian Prime Minister Korretskyi has revealed intentions to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the country’s civil service system, aiming to eliminate duplicated functions and unnecessary processes.
A significant focus will be on digitalization. Korretskyi stated, “We will analyze digital governance and the automation of internal processes within central executive bodies. The state should not waste time and resources on processes that can be expedited and simplified using digital tools. We have decided to review the number of employees in central executive bodies, reducing unnecessary vacant positions. The number of deputy ministers and their assistants will also be reevaluated.”
He emphasized that the analysis will identify the actual staffing needs based on the real scope of tasks and functions required by the state.
Korretskyi also highlighted the importance of education and professional development for civil servants, indicating that training approaches will be adjusted to meet the current needs of the government.

- On September 10, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko stated that Ukraine is in a critical financial situation due to budget shortfalls. He noted that the Ministry of Finance will delay less urgent expenditures, redirecting revenues primarily to security and defense sectors, marking the worst budget liquidity situation since 2022.
