US Allocates €85 Million for DTEK Energy Storage Project in Ukraine

The United States has approved a funding package of €85 million for DTEK’s energy storage project, which represents the largest financing from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) directed towards Ukraine’s energy sector since the onset of the full-scale war. This decision coincided with the day the Ukrainian parliament voted on stringent sanctions against Russia, signaling Washington’s ongoing support for Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and its commitment to aiding the country’s recovery.
