Russia Launches Fourth Attack on Zaporizhstal in September

On September 17, Russia launched two ballistic missiles at the Zaporizhstal industrial complex, marking its fourth attack on the facility in September. Since the beginning of August, a total of 17 ballistic missiles have struck Zaporizhstal, which has been non-operational since an earlier assault on August 11. The latest attack resulted in significant damage to technological equipment, buildings, and both engineering and railway networks.

One worker sustained shrapnel wounds and suffered a concussion, necessitating hospitalization. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported. Alexander Mironenko, the operational director of Metinvest, commented that these repeated strikes on an already halted enterprise are attempts to prevent it from recovering and resuming operations.

Each new strike has escalated the extent of the damage, complicating recovery efforts further.
