The Kremlin defended the recent Russian strikes in Ukraine occurring near the Polish border, stating that these actions are part of military operations. Dmitri Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, made these remarks during a press briefing on Monday, responding to questions from media outlets.
Peskov asserted, “This concerns Ukrainian territory. Our military is fulfilling its missions across the entire Ukrainian territory and will continue to do so.” This statement follows the Russian drone attack on Sunday, which reportedly targeted a passenger train locomotive traveling between Kyiv and Warsaw, just two kilometers from the Polish border. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Additionally, it was noted that Western figures, including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former CIA Director David Petraeus, were present at a nearby station shortly before the drone strike took place.
On the same day, Warsaw reported that another drone struck a fuel station close to a border post on the Ukrainian side.
