The director of Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), Semen Kryvonos, is accused of having falsified an adoption of a child to unlawfully secure immunity from prosecution, as stated by Kравченко. The court has established that a crime was committed by Kryvonos, yet no penalties have been imposed. Despite this troubling past, he subsequently successfully passed a competition involving international experts to lead NABU.
