In the recent match between Rapid and Universitatea Craiova, which ended in a 1-1 draw, former international Basarab Panduru commended Filip Stojilkovic, the striker for Rapid. However, he also noted the player’s need to improve his ball control.
Stojilkovic, who joined Rapid this summer, netted his first goal for the club by equalizing against Universitatea Craiova, capitalizing on a cross from Moruțan in the small box.
The striker also caught attention for his significant misses, particularly in one-on-one situations against the opposing goalkeeper. Panduru attributed these missed chances to Stojilkovic’s long ball control.

“I like him; he’s dangerous. It’s normal for him to be a threat, as Pisa purchased him in the winter. He has strength and quality, although his ball control tonight resembled that of Serie C. But he puts pressure on defenders, keeping them alert. He has a good shot and strikes well; he just needs to fix his control issues.
He’s a solid player for our league, but his control needs work. He finds himself in central positions but sometimes moves 10 meters away from the goal frame. With better control, he can achieve more. Poor ball control can result in lost opportunities. I believe he will improve considerably,” Panduru stated during an interview on Prima Sport 1.
