Zaporizhstal Halts Operations Following Russian Strike

“Metinvest” reported the deaths of seven workers following the Russian strike.

A recent ballistic missile strike has tragically resulted in the deaths of seven workers at Zaporizhstal, according to a statement from Metinvest. The attack occurred as employees were heading for shelter shortly after an alert was issued, leaving 21 others injured.

The assault caused significant damage to energy facilities and infrastructure of Metinvest’s enterprises in Zaporizhzhia, leading to the complete halt of operations at Zaporizhstal’s coke and blast furnace production units.

While Zaporizhstal has ceased all activities, other production facilities are operating at reduced capacity.
