In a resounding 4-0 victory against FC Voluntari, Andrei Nicolescu, the president of Dinamo, reflected on the match and outlined the club’s upcoming plans. Following the win, he disclosed that the team is on the lookout for two additional players—a central midfielder and a forward—as they prepare for the derby against Rapid.
Currently, Dinamo has accumulated 7 points after their first four matches and is gearing up for the crucial derby in Giulești. Nicolescu emphasized that the squad is still not finalized, indicating that reinforcements are anticipated.
Dinamo Seeks Central Midfielder and Forward
Nicolescu praised the performances of players who came off the bench during the game against FC Voluntari, specifically highlighting Oliver Hintsa and Adrian Mazilu, who both scored their inaugural goals for the club in injury time.
“Every coach desires that substitutes can make a difference. We are at the beginning of the season, it’s challenging to claim we have built a solid team, but we are still looking for players to strengthen our lineup. We are seeking a central midfielder and a forward, and we are also awaiting Pușcaș, but it’s tough to solidify the team,” Nicolescu stated.
He expressed confidence in coach Nuno Campos, noting that his strategic choices are proving effective as players from the bench are stepping up to assist the team. He acknowledged the importance of player confidence, especially after a victory.
“The victory enhances confidence, particularly for Oliver and Mazilu. While our game plan has its ups and downs, victories are crucial regardless of the score,” Nicolescu remarked on the team’s recent performance.
He discussed the challenges of playing against a defensively organized team and emphasized the need for innovative solutions in such scenarios.
Nicolescu Prepares for Rapid vs. Dinamo
Looking ahead to the match against Rapid, Nicolescu expressed hope for an open contest and suggested that Nuno Campos might have additional options available for the game.
“For the match with Rapid, I hope it will be an open game rather than a closed one, leading to an exciting match where we can implement what we have been developing for a month,” he said. Nicolescu also mentioned that there could be more options available depending on the situation, referring to players Fetai and Verreth, without any formal agreements with Rapid at this time.
