Russian forces target Ukrainian railway infrastructure
A Russian strike hit a train car near the Lozova Station, leading to reports of two fatalities and three injuries, according to Ukrainian railway officials.
Oleksandr Pertzovskyi, chairman of Ukrzaliznytsia, confirmed the incident and noted that the station is equipped with two shelters, with a third added for safety.
Pertzovskyi pledged to provide further details about the attack later on.
Just one day earlier, a Russian assault in the Kyiv region resulted in the deaths of eight individuals waiting for a train at the Kvitneva Station in the Brovary district. Following this tragedy, Ukrzaliznytsia has advised passengers not to remain in railway areas during mass attacks and to immediately proceed to shelters or move to a safe distance.

- Since the summer of 2025, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine’s railway infrastructure, particularly targeting major junction stations, to disrupt connections with frontline territories and block alternative routes, as reported by Pertzovskyi.
