According to the country’s Ministry of Defense, Polish forces had the opportunity to intercept a Russian missile headed for Poland, but an F-16 fighter jet was unable to do so in time. The jet reportedly turned back just 20 seconds before reaching the border.
This incident occurred following the explosion of a Russian X-101 missile that landed in Poland. The Polish military did not engage the missile, as they had other priorities at that moment.
