FCSB Players Share Thoughts on New Team Gear Ahead of Season

Florin Tănase and Daniel Bîrligea, prominent figures in FCSB’s locker room, attended the unveiling of the team’s new gear and shared their initial impressions.
Tănase stated that he considers the new uniform to be the most beautiful in Romania, emphasizing its high standards: “It’s at the highest level, and we need to rise to that level as well.” Bîrligea believes this could be the kit that leads FCSB to a new title victory.
Florin Tănase: “This is a beautiful, special kit with beloved colors”
Tănase remarked, “This is a beautiful, special kit. It features the most beloved colors in this country—red, blue, and we’ve added yellow. We are the most loved club in Romania and among the diaspora. I didn’t request to present the home kit; they offered it to me, and this is the one I would have chosen.”
He expressed his contentment with staying at the club: “I felt I should stay, not leave far away. I hope this kit brings us luck. Last year’s didn’t do much for us, even though at the start of the season, I thought we’d have at least as good a run as last season. The equipment is at the highest level; now, we must elevate our performance. I’ve seen the rival kits, and I don’t think we can compare.”
Tănase noted that FCSB starts every year as a title favorite, which is embedded in the club’s DNA. “It’s hard to change this mentality. We begin each year as title contenders, but we must prove it on the field. There have been years when we had a strong squad and didn’t win, but this year feels different, even if many people doubt us,” he added.
Regarding potential transfers, Tănase mentioned, “I don’t know if it’s difficult to bring Drăguș. I’m not the one negotiating, it’s Mr. Becali. I know he has a contract there with a very high salary. I expected Spain to win. It’s inspiring to see players like those in the French team, but it’s been proven that players who play for each other are stronger than individual stars.”
Daniel Bîrligea: “This could be the title-winning kit”
Bîrligea expressed optimism about the new equipment, saying, “I think this could be the title-winning kit. It’s something new. We will definitely fight for the title. I’ve sensed a lot of motivation and confidence among my teammates, and they have been training hard, giving their all.”
He added that following the World Cup was somewhat challenging due to the match schedule, but he managed to watch as much as possible. “I really like Haaland. It doesn’t matter where he is from; he just knows how to score, which is what matters most,” Bîrligea stated.
“I need competition to push myself further. We all need teammates who can challenge us to give our best. We need players, even a striker,” he concluded.
Bîrligea also mentioned, “Craiova is a title favorite. They are in form, carrying confidence from last year, and have done great things. But we are focusing on Liga 1; the Champions League is far away.”
