Trump Declares Recent Medical Check-Up ‘Perfect’ Amidst Health Concerns

Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he has just completed a “perfect” medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This check-up references a health assessment from late May, following which the White House claimed his health is excellent, according to reports.
In his social media message, Trump stated, “I just finished a perfect medical check-up at Walter Reed, which I do every six months. I also requested another cognitive test, the only president who does this, three times, and I passed them all successfully – I answered every question correctly.” This statement comes as Trump celebrated his 80th birthday in June.
The White House confirmed that Trump was referring to the May medical examination.
His remarks included criticism of New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman and her colleague Jonathan Swan, who recently published a book discussing Trump’s potential return to power. The book raises concerns voiced by White House advisors regarding the age, stamina, and physical condition of the current president.
The book is titled “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump.”
Oldest President at Inauguration
Trump will be 78 years old in January 2025 when he is sworn in for a second term, making him five months older than Joe Biden at his inauguration in 2021. This will make Trump the oldest person to assume the office of President of the United States, as reported by CBS News.
Questions surrounding the health and mental fitness of older leaders have become a recurring issue in Washington, especially since concerns regarding Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities ultimately led him to withdraw from running for re-election in 2024.
Trump has frequently touted his performance on cognitive tests, claiming he has taken them multiple times and achieved perfect scores.
