Zelensky: Ukraine’s Actions Could Force Russia to Choose Peace

Zelensky discusses partnership agreements that may lead to peace with Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that through strategic military actions, Ukraine is signaling to Russia that it cannot easily and without consequences seize Ukrainian territory or that of any other nations threatened by Russian ambitions.
Highlighting modern military technologies, Zelensky stated that these developments are making occupation increasingly challenging for aggressors, possibly making it the most difficult in history. He also announced plans to strengthen Ukraine’s technological capabilities.
“Russia has a long history of occupying foreign lands, with its state built on numerous subjugated peoples and stolen territories. We are fighting for our land, our people, and justice for Ukraine. Our citizens in temporarily occupied territories are aware of this, especially in Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk,” Zelensky asserted.
He noted that Ukraine will not allow Russia to use its land as a tool for prolonging the war and turning occupation into an unending situation. Zelensky specifically referenced Crimea, stating that Ukrainian forces are isolating it and hinted that a resolution to the conflict may soon be possible.
“Our operation regarding Crimea is well-planned, and the ongoing execution clearly shows that if what we discussed with our G7 partners materializes, it will create conditions for Russia to be compelled to choose peace. We are counting on a positive response from our partners, who are fully informed of the situation,” the Ukrainian leader concluded.
