Iran May Offer Written Assurance Against Nuclear Arms, Says President Pezeshkian

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Tehran might be willing to sign a written declaration affirming that it will not pursue nuclear weapons, according to reports from DPA.
“If necessary, we can write that we do not intend to build a nuclear bomb,” Pezeshkian mentioned, as cited by the Iranian news agency IRNA.
However, he did not clarify whether this option is on the agenda for discussions between US and Iranian representatives, mediated by Qatar, which began on Sunday in Switzerland.
According to the framework agreement, a final deal regarding Iran’s nuclear program is expected to be reached within 60 days.
