In June, without treatment, roses may suffer from rust, black spot or sooty fungus. As a result, the shoots will curl, the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. As a preventive measure, gardeners practice sparse planting (plant bushes at a distance of 70-80 cm), water them at the roots in the morning and prune roses in a timely manner.
But sometimes this is not enough – and then to protect against the fungus it is necessary to spray the bushes with biological preparations, as recalled by the experienced agronomist Nikolai Vladimirovich Khromov.
How to spray roses in June
Biological products based on Bacillus subtilis are excellent against fungus – for example, Fitosporin-M. This remedy is used not only as a preventive measure, but also in the initial stages of diseases.
Advantages:
- Environmental friendliness – the drug is safe for the environment and people.
- Resistant to sudden temperature changes.
- Activation of soil microorganisms.
Dilute 1-2 packets of powder in 10 liters of water and spray rose bushes with it, trying to avoid flowers. The powder dissolves quickly in water without sediment, but sometimes manufacturers recommend letting the solution sit for about an hour.
You need to spray roses with Fitosporin-M every week – in the morning or evening, preferably in cloudy weather. Unlike strong chemicals, the action of a biological product is limited in time.
Do not exceed the dosage of the drug – otherwise the roses may turn yellow.
