Trump unleashes again on Iran after the terms of the agreement appeared in the Iranian state media

A day after declaring that an agreement with Iran is practically complete, President Donald Trump on Friday described Tehran as “dishonorable” for what he called inaccurate descriptions of the terms of the agreement, reports CNN, according to News.ro.

“The terms that Iran leaked to Fake News have nothing to do with the terms that were agreed upon in writing,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“What they said, including their weak and pathetic declaration of a deal, has nothing to do with the truth,” he continued. “They are very dishonorable people to deal with. There is no such thing as good faith negotiation with them,” Trump wrote.

Iranian state media reported details of the deal on Friday morning, saying Iran would not commit to giving up control of the Strait of Hormuz, and the deal would require the release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian funds.

Trump, in his message, said Iran's continued attacks on ships in the strait were “totally unacceptable”.

“He'd better recover, and quickly!” he threatened.

The US military shot down two Iranian attack drones targeting ships in the Strait of Hormuz last night, according to a US defense official.

“Iran attempted to attack merchant ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz last night. US forces shot down two Iranian one-way attack drones,” the defense official told CNN. “Traffic through the strait continues,” the source claimed.

What conditions does the Trump administration say the Iran deal includes

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday evening that he was canceling the attacks against Iran that he had announced a few hours earlier, because the “final points” of an agreement with this country had been approved.

The US-Iran deal includes provisions to dismantle Iran's nuclear program and end Tehran's funding of terrorist groups, according to a senior Trump administration official.

According to CNN, the official presented the following conditions, which, according to him, Iran accepted:

  • The nuclear material will be destroyed and removed;
  • Iran's nuclear program will be dismantled:
  • Not one penny of Iran will be released until they meet their obligations:
  • The Strait of Hormuz will be opened;
  • Iran will no longer finance terrorist groups.

The official called the deal “a performance-based deal.”

Iranian officials have previously said they will not sign a deal without unblocking the funds and have repeatedly refused to commit to funding terrorist groups.

CNN previously reported that the interim agreement between the US and Iran would extend the ceasefire, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and set the stage for more talks on Iran's nuclear program, according to a diplomat briefed on the matter.

Iranian state media reported, for its part, that Iran will not commit to cede management of the Strait of Hormuz and that the agreement will require the release of 24 billion dollars from Iran's frozen funds.
