On Russia Day, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov, together with the head of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexander Solovyov, presented passports to schoolchildren who distinguished themselves in studies, sports, creativity and social work.
34 teenagers from 19 municipal districts of the region received the main citizen document. The ceremony took place at the National Center “Russia” on the Yenisei. Kotyukov congratulated the guys and noted that they were the first to receive a passport in this new space created by decision of the president.
“You receive an important document, acquire rights and responsibilities – to preserve and develop your Motherland, to be united so that our country always remains invincible. You come from different parts of the region and show talent in studies, sports, and creativity. These are the first steps that will allow you to acquire a profession, start a family, and contribute to the development of your village, city, district, region and our entire large multinational country,” Mikhail Kotyukov addressed the children.
The schoolchildren sang the anthem and took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland, promising to be worthy citizens and defend the independence of the country. Everyone received memorable gifts: a passport cover, a “First Movement” badge and a copy of the Constitution.
The awards ceremony takes place as part of the all-Russian program “We are citizens of Russia!” national project “Youth and Children”. Over three years, about 9,500 schoolchildren received their first passports in a festive atmosphere in the region.
