Fiorentina officially announced the appointment of Fabio Grosso (48 years old) as head coach. The former Sassuolo technician signed a contract valid until June 30, 2028, and will receive a salary of 1.2 million euros per season.
Grosso replaces Paolo Vanoli on the Viola bench, with the club's management banking on his experience in both Serie A and Serie B.

Fabio Grosso remains one of the important names in the recent history of Italian football. The former left-back is the one who converted the decisive penalty in the 2006 World Cup final, won by Italy over France.
Grosso's coaching career began in 2013 with Juventus' youth team. His first commitment at senior level came in 2017, on the bench for Bari in Serie B.
During his career, the Italian also coached Verona, Brescia, Sion, Frosinone, Lyon and Sassuolo. His record includes two promotions from Serie B to Serie A, performances that cemented his reputation in Italian football.
In the previous season, Grosso led Sassuolo to 11th place in Serie A, a ranking appreciated in the context of the team's return to the first stage of Italian football.
ACF Fiorentina is pleased to announce that Fabio Grosso has been appointed as head coach of the first team.
The club is delighted to give an enthusiastic welcome to a world champion and a coach who brings competence, innovative ideas and passion. Welcome, Mister Fabio Grosso!
