On Monday, American aviation successfully paralyzed another unit that tried to break international restrictions.

Precise strike from the deck of an aircraft carrier
The latest incident confirms Washington's determination to maintain an iron grip around Iranian ports.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) officially announced that The target of Monday's action was the empty Marivex tanker. The Palau-flagged vessel was heading towards Iran, passing through strategic international waters in the Gulf of Oman.
When the ship's crew ignored calls to change course, the air force stationed in the region stepped into action. The Pentagon's response was immediate and surgically precise.
“An F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter aircraft (which took off) from the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) fired precision munitions into the ship's engine and control rooms because the crew failed to comply with U.S. military commands. Marivex no longer ships to Iran” – wrote in the official CENTCOM statement.

Thanks to the immobilization of key sections responsible for propulsion and control, the tanker was completely unable to continue sailing. This was the 7th ship attacked by the US in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman since the crisis escalated.
Balance of the sea blockade
The American operation in the waters of the Middle East is being conducted on a huge scale. Data presented by the military command show that since the official start of the blockade on April 13, US forces have been acting extremely decisively. Monday's paralysis of Marivex is part of a broader balance of operational activities.
The effects of sealing activities so far are as follows:
- Seven naval units were permanently disabled after they ignored orders from American ships;
- 134 merchant ships were effectively forced to change course and redirected to other routes.
- 42 transports with humanitarian aid received official permission to safely sail through the restricted zone.
