In several regions of Moldova, storms with heavy precipitation were recorded on Saturday, which caused flooding in several localities and made it difficult to move on some sections of the roads.

The headquarters of the Vaslui Municipality Police was flooded on Saturday, following the heavy rainfall recorded, informed the representatives of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU), quoted by Agerpres.

According to the quoted source, houses and yards in several communes of the county were flooded, and the firemen intervened to evacuate the water.

“Military firefighters from ISU 'Podul Înalt' of Vaslui county intervened to manage the effects produced by water accumulations in several localities in the county. A house was flooded in Ghermăneşti locality, four yards of some houses in Gândeşti locality, Voineşti commune were flooded, problems were also recorded in Bârlălesti locality, Epureni commune, where two yards were flooded. Also the headquarters The Vaslui Municipal Police was flooded. The operative crews are working to evacuate the water”, the Vaslui ISU representatives said.

Vaslui County was under an orange precipitation warning on Saturday. Torrential showers with accumulations of 20-30 l/m2, frequent electrical discharges, hail and wind intensifications were reported.

Also, the military firefighters from Bacău intervened in Oneşti municipality and Gutinaş village, Ştefan cel Mare commune, to evacuate water from yards and cellars, remove water accumulations from the roadway and free a car that was stuck on a road affected by heavy rainfall, informed the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Bacău.

Road traffic on DN 10, in Buzău county, was blocked on Saturday in the area of ​​Colţu Pietrii, after alluvium and significant amounts of soil flowed from the slopes onto the road, following the heavy rains of the last few hours.

According to the Meteoplus Facebook account, floods also occurred in several localities in Vrancea county, including the city of Focșani. In Tâmboești, the amount of precipitation was estimated at 80 liters per square meter.
