The Romanian goalkeeper Răzvan Sava (23 years old) seems to have no future at Udinese, which is why negotiations have begun in this mercato window for him to change the team. At the last minute, the goalkeeper would be on the radar of Pafos, a team that played in the Champions League last season and where a Romanian, midfielder Vlad Dragomir, is registered.

Transferred from CFR Cluj to Udinese a year and a half ago for 2.5 million euros, Sava did not get many chances in Serie A, and in the next period he could go to the championship of Cyprus, according to the information provided by journalist Emanuel Rosu.

The Cypriot team, in 4th place at the end of this season, saved the final edition when they won the Cyprus Cup, so they received a ticket for the Europa League.

Răzvan Sava is wanted by Pafos

Răzvan Sava is unhappy with his status at Udinese, who have not relied much on his services, and is eager for a change to relaunch his career.

As there is interest from Pafos, there is a chance that the move from Italy to Cyprus will materialize, if the two clubs agree on all the details.

The Romanian goalkeeper still has a contract with the group from Serie A, with whom he finished the season in 10th place, for three more seasons, until June 2029.

  • Răzvan Sava's last appearance on the pitch dates back to December 21, in a match against Fiorentina. He then came on in the 10th minute after Maduka Okoye was sent off, but Udinese suffered a heavy 1-5 defeat with Sava netting all five goals;

  • Since arriving at Udinese, Răzvan Sava has defended the team's goal in 23 matches. Of these, only 10 were in the last season, the last half a year ago

Sava has expressed his desire to leave Udinese

In an interview given in mid-March, Răzvan Sava admitted that he is not satisfied with his status in the team and that he wants to go somewhere else, to catch more matches.

If I had an offer and the club agreed, I would leave. But for now, I'm trying to focus on training, being as prepared as possible. Then in the summer, when the transfer window opens, we'll see what they want. If they want me to stay here and play or if they would prefer me to leave. But obviously it's better to play.

It is difficult to be a substitute, because you feel the game even when the first 11 is on the field. Feel like you're there, in the game! I think I live the game even more intensely from the bench than when I'm on the field. But like any goalkeeper, I try to train as well as I can
