Corvinul Hunedoara announced on Wednesday, officially, the first two transfers for the return to the Superliga. Transylvania presented right defender Flavius ​​Iacob (25 years old) and goalkeeper Adrian Franculescu (21 years old).

Corvinul is back on the first stage of Romanian football after 34 years and has high expectations from the season that will start in mid-July. After dominating League 2, Corvinul now wants to make a nice figure in the Super League, so he started moving in the transfer market since the beginning of June.

Flavius ​​Iacob returns to Corvinul, after two seasons in which he was on loan at CFR Cluj and UTA Arad, while Adrian Franculescu reached an agreement with the Hunedorens after leaving Steaua. He comes in the form of a loan for a season from CFR Cluj.

Welcome, Adrian Franculescu! Our club and CFR Cluj have reached an agreement regarding Adrian Franculescu's loan for one season! The 21-year-old goalkeeper defended the goal of Steaua Bucharest in the last three seasons, ticking off 76 appearances in the championship for the red-blues, managing to close the goal in 27 games.

Originally from Drobeta Turnu-Severin, Adrian was one of the main players of the Bucharest team, since his move to the Capital. In the 2023/24 edition he made 22 appearances in League 2 (17 in the regular season and 5 in the play-out), in the 2024/25 season he was used in 23 games (10 in the regular season and 10 in the play-off), and in the recently concluded championship, 2025/26, he had 31 appearances in the Stela goal (21 in the regular season and 10 in play-offs).

The newly promoted team from Hunedoara is the first team from the Superliga to meet for the new competitive season.

Florin Maxim called the meeting at the stadium, and 23 players were present at the first training for the preparation of the new Super League season.

Until June 21, the team will continue training locally, after which the delegation will leave for Slovenia, in the resort of Rogla, for a ten-day training camp. There, Corvinul will play at least three friendly matches, matches to be announced later.
