The National Arena will not be available for football even in July 2026. After the cancellation of the Kapital festival, FCSB and Dinamo they hoped that they would be able to perform in the biggest stadium of the country in the preliminaries of the Conference League, respectively the Superliga.

Another event upsets the plans of the two teams. It is about “Bucharest Town Charity Run”festival that will take place between July 17-19, 2026.

This is a “charity festival dedicated to the motorcycle community, live music and solidarity”, announce the organizers.

Coincidentally, the new season of the Superliga starts exactly on the same weekend (July 17-19), which means that Dinamo will not be able to organize the home matches from the first stages here.

The situation is identical for FCSB, who would have needed the stadium on July 23 or 30, when the legs of the second preliminary round of the Conference League are scheduled.

The National Arena could only be available for football in August 2026

It is not the first time that football is “evacuated” from the National Arena in favor of entertainment shows. In the spring and summer of this year, the stadium hosted huge shows:

  • Metallica (May 13)

  • Max Korzh (May 23)

  • Iron Maiden (May 28)

After the series of mega-concerts in May, a complex process of replacing the turf has already begun, but football could not return to the National Arena until August 2026.

Bucharest Town Charity Run 2026 is a charity festival dedicated to the motorcycle community, live music and solidarity, organized on the National Arena in Bucharest. The event transforms the energy of the concerts and the community into an action with real impact: supporting the purchase of essential medical equipment for children treated in the pediatric hematology section of the Fundeni Clinic Institute.

For 3 days, the festival brings together rock and hip hop music, motorcycle parades, activations for the public, automotive zones and experiences dedicated to the whole family.

The alternatives: Ghencea and the Arc de Triomphe

Without the biggest stadium in the country at their disposal, FCSB and Dinamo were forced to change their plans for their home matches in July:

  • FCSB will move to Ghencea, the Steaua stadium being the ideal option to ensure numerous assistance in Europe and in the championship.

  • Dinamo will again call on the “Arcul de Triumf” stadium, the arena that became the second home of the “red dogs” during the periods of unavailability of the National Arena.
