Where Romanians spend Pentecost: 65% of reservations are at 4- and 5-star hotels. What solutions are there for a small budget
Romanians don't have much money for vacations anymore, hoteliers can't afford to stay with empty accommodations, so emergency solutions have been found. The stay rarely exceeds 3 nights of accommodation, and this is where the offers come into play. At the opposite pole are requests for extended service packages.

For the Pentecost holiday, from the following weekend, which also includes June 1st, accommodation in the units in the country starts from under 50 lei/night/person. Stays that also offer experiences, not just accommodation and food, are also preferred, because Romanians look for places where activities, festivals, etc. are scheduled.
Reservations are now made for the last hundred meters, a trend that has been showing since last year, so for now it is hard to say if more Romanians than last year will enjoy the short vacation away from home.

In 2026, the Pentecost holiday, which comes earlier this year, and the state holiday for International Children's Day overlap, so the challenge is even greater for the hospitality industry.
Many of the accommodation units by the sea opened on the occasion of the start of the program “The coast for all” 2026, others waited for the calendar arrival of summer. The fact is that there are prices for all budgets, with rates starting from 47 lei/night/person, according to an analysis by BIBI Touroperator.
Although the offers were made public a long time ago, many Romanians no longer make reservations, waiting and hoping for even better prices on the eve of departure.
Very likely, there will be no shortage of last-minute offers for the Romanian Riviera, according to Romanian tourism promoters.
Based on the reservations already made, a top of the most sought-after destinations during the Pentecost mini-vacation was created.
On SEASIDEthe most sought after resorts are: Eforie Nord, Mamaia and Neptun-Olimp. Mountain lovers are steadfast, so Prahova Valley remains in the top of preferences, along with Poiana Brașov and Bucovina.
In Danube Delta, most reservations were made in Sulina, Sfântu Gheorghe and Crișan, and the Romanians who want to enjoy the thermal waters and other services in the field during their few free days spa they booked their vacation at: Călimăneștii-Căciulata, Băile Felix and Băile Herculane.
