An increase of 1,382 percent Mother's Day in orders

— Mother's Day is one of the best examples of changing the order structure. The share of gift categories increases by almost 70%. day to day, while restaurants remain stable. At the same time, we see a strong concentration of orders around the last moment: nearly 86%. orders fall on the day before and on the day of the holiday. This is an important signal for the market that occasional shopping is increasingly happening here and now, says Dawid Ledziński, director of Q-commerce and Retail Media at Glovo.

Glovo data shows how much the nature of orders changes on Mother's Day itself. Compared to a normal Monday a week earlier, the number of gift orders increases by 67 percent, while orders from restaurants remain stable and grocery purchases record only a slight increase. This is even more visible at the level of specific categories – orders for flowers increase by as much as 1,382 percent, home decorations by 280 percent, and cosmetics by 250 percent.
