Sebastian Mailat (28 years old), author of two goals in failure suffered of FC Botoșani with FCSB, score 3-4 after the two overtime periods, he declared himself satisfied with the season his team went through.
FC Botoșani managed to come back from 1-3 down and push the match into extra time, but Octavian Popescu ended the hopes of the team coached by Marius Croitoru with the superb goal scored in the 107th minute.
Mailat had opened the scoring in the 14th minute at the end of a counterattack carried out perfectly by FC Botoșani and scored in the 77th minute, from a penalty kick, then reducing the difference on the table to 2-3.

“We scored two goals, but unfortunately it wasn't enough. I consider it a successful season for us, for what we set out to do from the beginning. It's a won season.
It's not the first time we've turned the score around and beaten each other. We remain with the idea that we have a good team, very good even, with 2-3 changes a year we can make a good figure.
We fought to a draw with FCSB. We showed that we have value, that we can fight with any team. We were expected to leave with a second chance. I saw that it was always said that FCSB would keep pace, I proved that it is not quite so. Football is played until the 120th minute, as you can see.
If we were a little more careful, we could play with Dinamo. There are periods and periods, but, as I said, I had one goal in mind, and along the way it changed. We are happy, but at the same time stressed, because we knew for sure that we could do more”, said Sebastian Mailat, on the show “Digi Sport Special”.
