In 2021, 448 women were killed by their partners and close relatives, in 2022, 447 women – such statistics are indicated in the scientific journal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
As stated in the materials, over two years the police opened several thousand criminal cases of domestic violence. In 2,363 cases, women were seriously injured by their partners, in 5,073 the police classified beatings of women as moderate harm to health, and 8,759 as minor harm to health.
