The statements were made at the anniversary debate “PNL 151 years – Modernization with roots”.

Ilie Bolojan emphasized that the public perceptions formed in recent years cannot be ignored by the political class, whether or not they are shared by the leaders.

The Liberal leader explained that economic data confirms the existence of major vulnerabilities.

“We have a perception from the citizens of the country, which was formed in these years, with which we may or may not agree, but we cannot not take into account, in our political action, these perceptions. We have some economic data that diagnose our structural problems that you cannot avoid and awhat kind of government would it be, if it does not take into account these rather serious, structural problems, it has no chance to set things right and create conditions for development and prosperity“, declared Ilie Bolojan.

The interim prime minister also spoke about the political responsibility of the PNL, acknowledging that the decisions made by the party in recent years have contributed to the way citizens perceive the entire political class.

Ilie Bolojan insisted that administrative and economic reforms can no longer be postponed, and governance must be anchored in the harsh realities of the Romanian state.
