A few days since the press in Turkey announced that Denis Dragus (26 years old) will not continue TO Gaziantep from next season, Enrico Sposato, his agent, provided the latest clarifications regarding the future of the national team striker.

He stated that Denis Drăguș will continue at Trabzonspor, the team from where he was on loan, things can only change if a better offer appears.

Denis Drăguș will continue at Trabzonspor

Transferred to Trabzonspor from Standard Liege during the 2024 European Championship, Denis Drăguș could not establish himself in the Turkish team. In the last two years he was loaned to Eyupspor and Gaziantep, and now he is going to return to the club he belongs to, as confirmed by

Denis Drăguș is the player of Trabzonspor. We are not looking forward to going to another club. Barring an eventual big opportunity that would arise for his development, but only after the club's requirements are taken into account. Otherwise no.

We are together with only Trabzonspor in mind and look forward to contributing next season“, said Enrico Sposato, according to digisport.ro.

Denis Drăguș, modest season in Turkey

The current season was a difficult one for Denis Drăguș. The Romanian striker failed to score a single goal in the championship, neither during his time at Eyupspor, nor after his return to Gaziantep.

The only successes of the Romanian international came in the Turkish Cup, in a match against Keciorengucu, in which he scored a “double”.

Together with Gaziantep, but also under the command of Mirel Rădoi in the last stages, Denis Drăguș finished in 12th place in the Turkish championship.

Summoned by Gheorghe Hagi to the national team
