The Krasnoyarsk Territory has approved a set of measures to improve the quality of natural science and mathematics education. This was reported by the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

New measures should strengthen the teaching of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and computer science in schools in the region. The regional government notes that such changes are needed due to the growing demand for engineering, natural science and IT personnel. Specialists are required by mining and metallurgical enterprises, organizations of the military-industrial complex and the space industry.

Now, according to the authorities, the level of training of schoolchildren does not fully meet these demands. The region lacks specialized classes, modern laboratories and teachers for in-depth education. Until 2030, schools in the region plan to annually increase the number of specialized classes by 10%. It is also expected that at least half of graduates will choose natural science and mathematics subjects to take the Unified State Exam.

Schools will cooperate more actively with universities and enterprises. Krasnoyarsk institutions must develop at least 30 research course programs for schoolchildren. In each territory of the region, they plan to involve at least two local enterprises in career guidance.

Three flagship schools will begin operating in Krasnoyarsk. From 2027, a network of leading schools should appear throughout the region, which will become resource centers for natural science education. The region also plans to fill the need for teachers of physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology through targeted training. A system of mentoring and support will be created for young teachers under 35 years of age.

Special attention will be paid to talented schoolchildren. Data about them will be entered into the state information resource, and the children themselves will be able to participate in Olympiads and competitions at the federal level. The project implementation is planned for 2026–2030.
