Stalin was beheaded with a sledgehammer in Zvenigorod near Moscow
A 43-year-old man in a checkered shirt used a sledgehammer to remove the head mounted on the bust, and then damaged the monument to Lenin. The monument to Stalin appeared in the city in the summer of 2023 on Sovetskaya Street, while the authorities did not officially approve the installation, but they did not demolish the monument either.
Stalino- and Leninophobe have already been detained, and now the police are establishing the motive for his action.
Earlier it became known that several public organizations demanded to remove the monument, and in March of this year it was defaced with paint, correcting “Stalin” to “Sralin”.
