At night, passengers and the crew of the train that derailed in Komi on June 26 reached Novorossiysk. The surviving conductor told us how people got out of the mangled train.
According to him, they had to go down to the ground using a rope made of sheets: one of the cars was literally hanging over the rails. The jammed doors were opened by the whole world. Some people got pinched.
The Vorkuta-Novorossiysk train overturned due to washed out tracks. 70 people were injured, three died, including a shift worker who was traveling to Slavyansk-on-Kuban to spend a vacation with his family.
