Contacted by Gazeta Sporturilor, the arbitration specialist claims that two key moments were misinterpreted by the referee brigade and the VAR camera.
The first controversial phase came in the 87th minutewhen Kevin Brobbey managed a spectacular shot from outside the box, which entered the goal, but the success was canceled after the intervention of VAR, following an alleged foul in the attack. The phase took place in the center of the pitch, where Elvir Koljic managed to hit the ball first, and Yanis Pîrvu, falling, lightly touched the shoelace of the Giulești striker's boot with his sole, a moment interpreted as a foul in the phase preceding the success.
According to the specialist, the decision was wrong, there was no clear foul in the duel between Pîrvu and Koljic, and the goal should have been validated.

The second important phase came in extra time, in the 90+9th minute, when Kevin Brobbey was fouled in the box by Robert Sălceanu, and the referee awarded a penalty kick for FC Argeș. The center was no longer called to the monitor, and the decision was confirmed by Horia Mladinovici, who was in the VAR room. The decision was upheld, but Ricardo Matos missed the execution, after Marian Aioani guessed the corner and made the decisive intervention.

However, the consulted specialist believes that the decision to award the penalty was erroneous, as the contact was not sufficient to justify a kick from 11 meters.
