Often, even experienced gardeners notice that cucumbers stop growing by mid-summer, and greens become bitter or crooked. Cunning summer residents shared a simple method that allows them to harvest continuously until frost.
You can get a stable harvest of cucumbers using a regular two-liter plastic bottle. Cut off the bottom of the container, and make several small holes in the lid with a hot nail or awl. Dig the bottle, neck down, next to each bush to a depth of fifteen to twenty centimeters. Pour water inside with the addition of liquid fertilizer or herbal infusion. Through the holes in the lid, the nutrient solution will slowly seep directly to the roots, moisturizing and feeding the plants in a targeted manner. This method of supplying moisture prevents the leaves from becoming waterlogged, which reduces the risk of powdery mildew and other fungal diseases. And the weeds between the rows will remain without nutrition, since the water is supplied strictly for its intended purpose.
As a result, you will get strong vines, dark green foliage and, most importantly, abundant fruiting of cucumbers all summer without interruptions for the bush to rest.
