“The Rebel” Ionuț Luţu he marked his teammates with whom he evolved throughout his career from all points of view. Endowed with formidable qualities, “little Hagi” was considered one of the exceptional talents that Romanian football had at the beginning of the 2000s, although his tumultuous extra-sport life stopped his rise. Colleague with him on “Oblemeneco”, at the disaffiliated University, Ilia Iordache he did not forget the escapades in which Luțu was the protagonist.
In an interview given to Gazeta this spring, Ilie Iordache, 41 years old, in turn a former hope of League 1, currently a real estate developer, recalled the time he spent in Bănie, where he was registered between 2004 and 2005.
Back then, a kid of not even 20 years old, Iordache fully experienced, around Luțu, the “waves of youth” and the temptations with which he was lured by the “heavies” of the locker room. Remembering his former colleague, the thought instantly led him to the irresistible “offers” that Luțu made him after the Craiova matches.

“Ionuț Luțu? A phenomenon! Everyone speaks well of him, what can I say? He was a rare talent and it's true what they say, if he wanted to dribble you into a phone booth, he would. I was lucky to play with him in the team.
A very good player, I keep in touch with him now, he's my friend. You only have to learn… When you have colleagues like Luțu, Papură, who comes from the World Championship in America… You only have to learn! Somehow, you see football with different eyes.
And when they convey these things to you, you must put your head down and listen. I think it's important in football to be a little humble too. You always learn from people who are bigger than you, especially from those who have had a name.
I have stories with Luțu, but let's go back to that regret thing. When he would pick me up after matches, nice, and take me to Slatina. He was trying… We, the young ones, integrated very well into the night life (he laughs heartily). See why I was unlucky?
