Max Verstappen (28), 4-time Formula 1 world champion, will compete this week at the Nurburgring 24 Hours, one of the most prestigious endurance races in the world, which will take place between 14 and 17 May.
Max Verstappen will compete for the first time in the race that is part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar. His participation seems to have generated huge interest among motorsport enthusiasts, judging by the speed with which tickets for the entire weekend were sold out.

For the first time in the history of the event, organizers announced that all tickets for the entire weekend were sold outwhich means that absolutely all areas dedicated to fans along the 25-kilometer circuit will be full of eyes, as sportal.bg notes.
However, one-day tickets are still available for Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Not for Saturday, the day the actual race will start, at 15:00 local time, an hour later in Romania.
Until then, practice and qualifying at the Nurburgring will begin on Thursday. 161 cars are registered and will take part in the event.
Max Verstappen, who in recent years has turned more and more towards competitions outside the F1 sphere, will compete in the SP9 class at the wheel of a GT3 car, which he will share with Dani Juncadella, Lucas Auer and Jules Gounono.
