Real Madrid have taken a firm stance following the dressing room incident between midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni. The club has decided to show no leniency to either footballer and will impose a harsh penalty on both.

A disciplinary file has already been opened against the two, and a decision on the concrete punishment will be taken in the next few hours. In addition to disciplinary consequences, the club will have to evaluate later if this incident could constitute the departure of at least one of the footballers from the “Bernabeu”as stipulated by the club's internal regulations, according to Defensa Central, a publication in-house of the Madrid club.
The Internal Regulations provide for the suspension of the employment contract and salary for a period between 3 and 10 matches for serious misconduct and between 11 and 20 suspension matches for very serious misconduct.
There is also the possibility of a disciplinary dismissal: if the club considers the actions to be extremely serious, they could include, in addition to the suspension, a possible sale of the players for unprofessional conduct.
For now, everything points to a substantial financial fine. In addition, both players could be suspended for a few matches.

Tchouameni and Valverde had a confrontation in training on Wednesday after a rough entry that almost degenerated into a brawl. Tensions escalated on Thursday when the Uruguayan refused to greet the Frenchman. The conflict broke out again, and during the altercation, Valverde slipped, hit his head and was taken to hospital.
Alvaro Arbeloa accompanied Fede Valverde to the hospital, and Jose Angel Sanchez, an official of the club, immediately went to the dressing room of the Real Madrid team to get the attention of the players seriously.
