Improvement of Kopylova Street has begun in Krasnoyarsk – road workers have begun dismantling sidewalk coverings next to Pushkin Street towards the city center. PThe pedestrian area is due to be transformed this year in preparation for the city's 400th anniversary.
As the mayor's office said, work will take place in sections from the Kopylovsky Bridge to Godenko Street (from Kopylov, 17 to Pushkin and from Bogotolsky Lane to Kirensky, 118). First of all, unified pedestrian paths will be created along the entire length: for this purpose, the missing sections of sidewalks will be equipped, the surface will be replaced, convenient steps and descents will be made, and the lawns will be put in order.
Also, the lighting system on Kopylov will be updated: poles and lamps will be replaced with more modern ones, and the wires will be removed underground. All street furniture and other landscaping elements will also be made in the same style.
In addition, two small squares along the road in the area of houses No. 46 and 50, as well as the Geysers fountain, will be repaired. These works have already begun under separate contracts.
“Kopylova is one of the main streets of the city, which connects the historical center with tourist and cultural centers located in the western part of the city. Her appearance is set to change this season. The main goal is to bring it to modern standards of improvement. The work on Kopylov is synchronized with other road and landscaping work in the city,” the mayor’s office noted.
