They stated: due to the decree of the Russian government on changing the rates of import duties (up to 50%) on chocolate, flour and sugar confectionery products from unfriendly countries, the selling price for chocolates, cookies and other goodies will increase by 10–15% from August 15.
Large suppliers of sweets told Mash that because of this, the price of products will increase by 20–30%. It will only affect those carbohydrate jokes that are imported from unfriendly countries. Among them: Japan, South Korea, USA, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Spain and others. The price list will be updated soon. KitKat, an analogue of which is made in Turkey, and other sweets from friendly countries will not be affected by the price increase.
