Steven Gerrard (45), the legendary player of Liverpool, is the main candidate for the job of manager of Burnley, should the management of the club decide to part ways with Scott Parker (45) at the end of this season.
Gerrard was last active as a coach at Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ettifaq, which he parted ways with in January 2025. Since then, the legendary Liverpool player has worked as a pundit for TNT Sports.

According to journalist Alan Nixon, the main favorite to take over as Burnley manager is Steven Gerrard.
Steven Gerrard was recently seen as the ideal interim replacement for Liverpool, should the club's management at “Anfield” decide to sack Arne Slot. However, the Dutch technician kept his position on the “cormorants” bench, being very close to mathematically qualifying for the next season in the Champions League.
Steven Gerrard started his coaching career with Liverpool's youth teams and went on to coach Rangers, Aston Villa and Al-Ettifaq.
Alan Nixon claims that talks have already taken place between Steven Gerrard and the Burnley board and the Liverpool legend “would be looking forward to the opportunity”.
Burnley's list also includes Gerrard's former team-mate Craig Bellamy. The former striker is currently the Wales manager and his name has also been floated at Celtic, who are set to part ways with Martin O'Neill at the end of the season.
