On April 25, Ukrainian actress Olga Sumskaya posted archival photos on Imnstagram showing her with her daughters, Anna Borisyuk and Antonina Paperna.
“Annushka and Tonya. My daughters. My love,” the artist wrote.
What is known about Sumskaya’s daughters
Antonina Papernaya is the eldest daughter of Olga Sumskaya. Her father is Ukrainian actor Evgeniy Paperny. Papernaya lives in Moscow in a civil marriage with Russian actor Vladimir Yaglych. They have two children: daughter Eva (2017) and son Daniel (2020).
After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, Papernaya has been filming in Russian propaganda projects. Sumskaya explained her daughter’s choice as “total dependence on circumstances.” The actress said that her daughter cannot leave her home in the aggressor country. Sumskaya later said that she would not make excuses for her daughter’s position.
Anna Borisyuk is Sumskaya’s daughter from her second husband, Ukrainian actor Vitaly Borisyuk. In the summer of 2023, Anna Borisyuk graduated with honors from the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kiev University of Theatre, Film and Television. In December 2024, in an interview with Lux FM, she stated that she plans to leave the acting profession and become a designer.
What is the relationship between sisters
In March 2026, Borisyuk admitted that she had not seen her older sister for four years.
“My nephews are now eight and five years old, and it’s very painful to watch them only through video, to see how quickly they are growing up. Who is Tonya to me? My second mother. Of course, we are friends, and you can say that too, but she has always been much more to me,” Borisyuk said.
She added that their mother communicates with Paperna more often.
“And it’s not always easy for me to share emotions at a distance – it’s much easier in person. I hope that one day we will allow ourselves to believe in more – in meetings, in shared moments, in the simple opportunity to be together. I know that I won’t forgive myself if this doesn’t happen,” added Papernoy’s younger sister.
