How many drones and missiles did Russia launch in the huge overnight air attack that also affected Romania

Russia carried out a combined air strike on critical infrastructure targets in Ukraine overnight, using drones and various types of air-, sea- and ground-launched missiles, the Ukrainian air force said.

Several drones targeted the border area with Romania in the Ukrainian Odesa region, and one drone fell in the municipality of Galati, causing damage to a residential area

The Ukrainian Air Force said on Telegram that the main target of the Russian strikes was Dnipro, but the regions of Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa and Kiev were also attacked.

The Ukrainian army detected 666 means of air attack: 47 missiles and 619 drones, of which:

  • 12 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from Millerovo, Kursk, Yeysk and Crimea
  • 29 X-101 cruise missiles, launched from the waters of the Caspian Sea
  • 1 Iskander-K cruise missile launched from Russia's Bryansk region
  • 5 “Kalibr” cruise missiles (launch zone – waters of the Caspian Sea);
  • 619 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones from the directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Gvardeisk, Chauda, ​​about 400 of which are “Shahed”.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, by 08:00, air defense has shot down or neutralized 610 targets – 30 missiles and 580 drones of various types:

  • 26 X-101 cruise missiles;
  • 4 “Kalibr” cruise missiles;
  • 580 enemy drones of various types.

Impacts by 13 missiles and 36 attack drones were recorded in 23 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) in 9 locations.
