Vladimir Putin invited to the G20 summit in Miami? Donald Trump reacts

The Washington Post wrote earlier, citing US officials, that Trump intends to invite the Russian leader to the G20 summit, which is to be held in December in Miami, Florida.
A high-ranking representative of the US administration told the media, including PAP, that “no official invitations have been sent yet, but Russia is a member of the G20 and will be invited to ministerial meetings and the leaders' summit.”
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Pankin informed journalists that Russia had been invited to the G20 summit “at the highest level.” He noted that Moscow would confirm who would represent it later.
Trump, however, told the press in the Oval Office that he knew nothing about the invitation. He emphasized that he is open to talks with everyone. — If only [Putin] arrived, it would probably be very helpful, he added. However, he emphasized that he doubted this would happen.
The Russian leader is being prosecuted by the International Criminal Court (ICC). The US is not a party to the Rome Statute, under which the ICC was established in 2002. Last August, Trump met with Putin in Alaska.
Poland with an invitation to the G20
Poland is participating in G20 meetings this year – both in April at the level of finance ministers and central bank governors, and in the December leaders' summit – de facto replacing South Africa, although South Africa is still a formal member of the group. This was due to the US decision not to invite the African country to the meetings due to the dispute over the fate of white farmers in this country and Washington's accusation of their alleged “genocide”. Previously, Polish ministers participated in G20 meetings, but as specially invited guests.
