Giorgi retired in 2024 and left Italy for Argentina
In the spring of 2024, she disappeared from Italy in a hurry, leaving the house she had rented for 6 months.
Towards the end of 2024, she gave an interview in which she denied the allegations of tax fraud.
“The problems with the tax authorities? My family didn't know about them, the problems were created by outsiders who were hired to handle my finances. My father didn't make a living doing this, he was just my coach. We were never afraid, we changed the people who got us into this situation and now we are fine.
I didn't expect to go through something like this, I didn't even expect so many untruths to be written. My father's name was always put in the middle, even though he had nothing to do with anything, he just coached me.
I didn't run away for tax reasons, I didn't even run away. That landlord said I didn't pay the rent and left with the furniture. That house didn't even have furniture, we brought it,” said Giorgi, for Verissimo.
