Marian Lumînare, president of the Bucharest Municipal Football Association (AMFB), died at the age of 60.
His death was announced by the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) through a statement on the official website.

“The Romanian Football Federation received with deep sadness the news of the disappearance of Marian Lumînare, a prominent figure of amateur football and a dedicated promoter of the king sport in Bucharest.
As president of the Bucharest Municipal Football Association (AMFB), Marian Lumînare dedicated a large part of his life to the development of the football phenomenon at the local level, leaving his mark on the organization of competitions and the support of clubs in the capital.
His tireless activity and passion for football contributed significantly to the strengthening of amateur and youth football.
In these moments of great suffering, the Romanian Football Federation sends its sincere condolences to the bereaved family, friends and the entire community of the Bucharest Municipal Football Association. May God rest him in peace!”, FRF transmitted.
The Ilfov County Football Association sends its sincere condolences to the bereaved family, as well as to the Bucharest Municipal Football Association and the entire Bucharest football family, following the passing of Mr. Marian Lumânare, President of the Bucharest Municipal Football Association.
His departure from us is a deep loss for the entire football community. Through his dedication, professionalism and passion, he made a remarkable contribution to the development and promotion of football in Bucharest.
